AN East Finchley cemetery has come out on top in a poll to find areas that should be worked on by convicted criminals.
The Justice Seen Justice Done campaign, run by the Home Office, invited residents in some areas to vote for projects that could benefit from community service.
Barnet was not included but residents from the borough of Islington voted for Islington Cemetery and Crematorium, which is in High Road, East Finchley.
The sprawling grounds of the cemetery include lawns, flower beds and mature trees. It was established in 1854 and the burial chapel was built in 1900.
Last year mourners who left valuables in their cars in the cemetery grounds were repeatedly targeted by callous thieves.
