LOCAL bands will have the chance to showcase their talent at a new event in Potters Bar.
"Take It To The Bridge", at The Bridge House pub, in Mutton Lane, is open to musicians, comedians, poets, filmmakers, performance artists and visual artists, with the aim of celebrating the cultural diversity of the area.
Due to launch on July 25, the event will run fortnightly on the second and last Saturday evening of each month and will be free entry.
Organiser Clint Henderson, from Junction 23 Promotions, said: "The evenings will be hosted by witty local comperes, who will introduce the acts and entertain the audience in a relaxed, friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
"The motto of 'Take It To The Bridge' is 'anything goes'.
"We hope it will be a unique experience in Potters Bar."
Anyone wishing to perform should call The Bridge House pub on 01707 643 393.
