SEXUAL health staff from Barnet and Chase Farm NHS Trust plan to mark World Aids Day with a series of events.
The Clare Simpson Clinic, based at Barnet Hospital, in Wellhouse Lane, hopes to remove some of the stigma around those who suffer from Aids and related diseases.
Clinic staff will be running a stall at Edgware Shopping Centre from 10am to 2pm on Saturday, offering appointments and advice.
They will also be giving out red ribbons, leaflets on sexually transmitted infections and condoms.
On World Aids Day itself, December 1, a similar stand will greet the public inside the front entrance of Barnet Hospital.
A service of remembrance and celebration will be held in the hospital chapel at 1pm.
Jacinta Ryan, lead nurse at the clinic, said: “We feel that this is a good way of letting people know what we do and how they can access the clinic and its services.”
