Prisoner with links to Edgware brags about lifestyle on Facebook

AN ESCAPED prisoner with links to Edgware has set up a Facebook account boasting about his luxurious lifestyle.

Craig Lynch, 28, escaped from Hollesley Bay Open Prison near Ipswich on September 23 where he was serving the end of a seven year sentence for aggravated burglary.

However, instead of spending Christmas behind bars he posts regularly on his Facebook account, on which he has 199 friends, and says he plans to attend a New Years Eve party.

He even brags in one update “Which lucky girl will be my first of 2010!” and “I just had a 12lb venison steak. Roasted veg and chips, bangin meal. I feel stuffed but still got room for the j.d's”.

On his profile the offender, who dubs himself Craig 'Lazie' Lynch, says: “You'll have a laugh with me but it will end in tears. It always does.” His profile picture shows him with his middle finger up.

A spokesman for Suffolk Police said they are following up the new line of inquiry and officers are regularly attending addresses Lynch was known to frequent.
