THE major retailers are due to start their sales today at Brent Cross Shopping Centre.
Staff at the big department stores John Lewis and Fenwick are bracing themselves for a flood of bargain hunters to descend when their doors open at 11.30am.
Shoppers will have 30 minutes browsing time before trade can begin at midday.
Bosses at the shopping centre are predicting “significant reductions” in the stock, much of which has been held over specifically for this sale period after stores refused the temptation of widespread pre-Christmas price cuts.
Waitrose and Marks and Spencer at Brent Cross will be opening from midday and are expecting large numbers of customers until the stores close at 6pm.
