The Key Stage 2 results have shown once again that we have many excellent schools in this borough, with three in the top 100 most improved' schools in the country.
The Orion Primary School, which came 15th in the borough on its aggregate scores, deserves special praise, as it is in Barnet's most deprived ward. One third of its pupils who sat the exam are listed as having special needs.
While we must celebrate the success of the schools that have done well, it is vital to continue striving to improve those that are still lagging behind.
