THREE people, including a 14-year-old boy, went on trial accused of gang raping a 13-year-old girl in a Burnt Oak park.

Today Wood Green Crown Court heard how all three raped the girl after she was led to a secluded patch of Watling Park on the evening of November 17 last year.

Two of the defendants, Ricardo Da Silva, now 20, of Bradshaw Drive, Mill Hill, and Yasin Mahdi, now 18, of Kilburn, are accused of oral rape.

The 14-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, is accused of rape along with Mr Da Silva, and of forcing her to engage in a sexual act.

Prosecutor Andrew Vout told the jury the attack happened after the girl, who was with a friend, met the youngest defendant near Burnt Oak station, who then led them into the park.

He said: “He had two other boys with him the girls didn't know. You may think it is clear from the evidence those boys must be the other two defendants.”

The youngest boy then took the victim by the arm and guided her to a secluded bush while chatting to her, with the other boys following, he told the court.

There he took her hand and forced her to touch him sexually, before turning her around and raping her.

The other two defendants, he said, then came into the bushes one by one, with Mr Mahdi forcing her to perform oral sex on him and Mr Da Silva doing the same and then repeating the actions of the youngest defendant.

He told the jury two condoms were found at the scene with DNA which matched the youngest defendant and Mr Da Silva, while traces of semen from Mr Mahdi were found on her jacket.

The court was then shown the start of a taped interview with the victim, in which she described the ordeal and struggled to find the right explanations because of her age.

In it she explains how the youngest man had always been “nice” to her before and that she thought the group were just going to “chill” in the park.

She described how she asked the 14-year-old to “stop” and told him “you're hurting me” during the first attack, adding she initially touched him after he forced her to put her hand on him, because she did not want him to think she was “frigid”.

As he left, she overheard him saying “Yeah, I beat that” to the rest of the group.

After that, the next man came into the bushes and asked her to perform oral sex.

She said: “I told him I didn't want to, but he grabbed the back of my neck."

Describing how the third man came in after he left, she added: “It was like they were lining up. As soon as they saw one emerging, another one would come straight in.”

Describing the third attack, she said he made her perform oral sex initially like the second attacker, then raped her in a similar way to the youngest defendant, despite her repeatedly telling him she did not want to.

However, when a fourth man came into the bushes and asked her to perform oral sex on him she refused.

She said: “He was not as forceful as the others. He looked a bit annoyed and quite angry. Then he stormed out.”

After the attacks she went to find her friend, returning home just after 9pm. However, it was not until school the next day that she told someone what had happened.

The case continues.
