Mother in court on money laundering charges

A MOTHER of two is facing a Crown Court trial over allegations she laundered cash stolen from a Royal Mail sorting office.

Sumu Pambele-Yagrim is also accused of over claiming on both housing benefit from Barnet Council and tax credits to the tune of more than £17,000.

Today she resident appeared at Hendon magistrates Court where the matter was referred up to the Crown Court.

The court was told Mrs Pambele-Yagrim was arrested at her home on May 14 and formally charged on July 23.

She is also accused of failing to declare she had three jobs, earning almost £35,000-per-year, on her claim forms for housing benefit and tax credits.

She was granted bail to appear again on September 10.
