A LIST of councillors' interests could be available to the public online for the first time by the end of the month.

Work to put the list, which all councillors are obliged to complete, online started in January, after a decision from the standards committee.

It lists all personal and financial interests held by members of the council and it is currently only available to view by making arrangements with a council officer at North London Business Park.

However, not every councillor has given permission for their details to be made available online, according to the progress report going before councillors on Monday.

The report states: “There are some members who indicated that they did not wish for their entries to appear online.

“For members whose entries are not online, the designation 'opt-out' appears against their name.”
