A HUGE programme of festival events kicks off on Sunday in an East Barnet park.
Oak Hill Park is set to play host to a range of events, including a three-day festival, mobile skate park and even a teddy bear’s picnic through the summer months.
Events kick off this Sunday, June 5, with the Theatre in the Park programme, with the Theatre Set-Up company’s version of Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing.
The traditional play will be contrasted a fortnight later by Quantum Theatre’s modern adaptation of Twelfth Night, while three other plays will be performed through July and August.
All performances start at 3pm, with tickets £12, and £10 for concessions, with children 6-16 at £6 each, and the show will go on whatever the weather.
The Music and Dance Festival runs on July 1-3 this year, and will also feature a classic and custom car show and rounders matches on the Sunday.
A Teddy Bear’s Picnic is being held next Sunday, June 12, from 3pm, with prizes for best dressed teds, and is free for under 3s and £3 for parents.
