FANS have said an emotional farewell to Amy Winehouse outside Golders Green Crematorium.

The 27-year-old’s body was brought to the crematorium at around 2pm where her friends and family gathered in Hoop Lane.

One fan, Teresa Bascones, 67, from Kennington said: “I love her. It was really important for me to come here today because she was one of my favourite artists. The atmosphere was really moving – it’s so sad.

“I’ve prayed to god she rests in peace and she goes to heaven to sing again.”

Chelsee Savage, 23, from Muswell Hill said: “We went to Amy’s house yesterday and it was mournful but celebratory at the same time. We just wanted to come here today to say goodbye and pay our respects. It’s very sad.”

Carman Mason, 27, from Barnet said: “I actually met Amy a couple of times through a friend. I made ackee and saltfish for her – she was such a normal, welcoming and sweet girl. She was all about her music and not about the fame but unfortunately the pressure destroyed her. I’m just paying my respects the best way I can by being here.”

Kelly Osborne and producer and DJ Mark Ronson joined the star’s family at the crematorium.

Edward Bell, 25, from Wandsworth added: “It’s just nice to be here and to pay some respects and find a sense of closure.”
