A WILLIAM Hill store at Burnt Oak was robbed at gunpoint yesterday morning, forcing its closure for half the day.
An employee was threatened with a firearm shortly after opening the doors of the Watling Avenue branch at 9am and forced to hand over an undiclosed amount of cash.
Police arrived at the scene at about 9.07am and taped off the area to the public. The store remained closed to business until 1.30pm.
This latest crime occurred just next door to the brothel in which one man was murdered and another stabbed in July.
