Stanmore 155 Winchmore Hill 156-4
Stanmore had a weakened batting line-up in this Middlesex County League Division One match with Winchmore Hill on Saturday and, to make matters worse, they lost their opening pair Mark Stear and Richard Graham for six.
Skipper Alastair Fraser (47) and former Finchley player Graham Leggett (29) improved the situation with a third-wicket stand of 60.
Fraser defied the useful visitor's attack in a two-and-a-half hour stay, but only Mihel Kamdar (30), gave support as they added 36, and Stanmore were restricted to a modest total of 155.
There was brief hope when Winchmore Hill slipped to 20-2, as Julian Makin struck.
But the visitors coasted to victory at 156-4, with Carlos Remy (50 no) their main scorer.
Winchmore Hill are the early pacemakers with 24 points (two wins and a draw) from their three matches.
Stanmore, who prop up the table with only two points from draws, face a test of character in Saturday's away game with second-placed Eastcote.
The expected return of Peter Edwards and Chris Sayers provides a welcome boost for Stanmore, away to Wycombe House in the Gillette Cup on Bank Holiday Monday.
Stanmore II 121 (Odeddaal 5-37), Ealing II 124-8 (Ross Chiese 6-27).
Brentham III 110, Stanmore III 111-8.
