Rosslyn Park go into their fourth National Three South game of the season at home to Lydney on Saturday as the only team in the division still looking for a point.

They lost 29-20 at Old Patesians on Saturday despite a hard-working performance, with some reckless late play costing them a bonus point. Park had the better of the early exchanges with Richard Mahony kicking one penalty and hitting the post with another. The home side took advantage of one of several clearances that failed to find touch to spread the ball wide and score up the right for 5-3. After Park had restored their lead through another Mahony penalty, they extended their lead with a great try. From a scrum close to the touchline, scrum-half Rhys Lapidus wrong-footed everyone by sprinting through a glap on the blind side and, when he was tackled he offloaded for Scott Chatterton to score. A converted try after a clever reverse pass saw Old Pats restore their lead, only for another Mahony penalty to give Park a 14-12 half-time lead. They continued to hold the upper hand with Mahony kicking another penalty after winger Martin Ridley had almost scored from a powerful run up the right. Mahony kicked another after the home prop was sinbinned and could have stretched Park's advantage to 11 points had the post not intervened again. But Old Pats launched a massive assault in the last 15 minutes and, after reducing the arrears with a penalty and Park's Tom Wells had been sinbinned, they scored a converted pushover try. Park tried to get back into the game but blew their bonus point when an unnecessary long pass was flung in front of their own posts. Old Pats took full advantage with a pushover try and the conversion which made the final score 29-20. Park: Williams; Ridley, Brading, Paul, Chatterton (Street); Mahony; Lapidus; Daw, Small, Wells; Cure, Justice; Ryan, Rowland, Gates.
