A FLASHER who has twice targeted teenage girls on a pathway in Potters Bar is being hunted by police.

Officers, who today released an appeal for information, said the first incident happened on Wednesday September 21.

A group of teenage girls were walking home from school along a footpath next to the train line, when a man exposed himself.

The incident happened at around 3.45pm and the man ran off towards Pinewood Drive.

The second indecent exposure happened this Saturday on the same pathway, when a group of girls were walking toward the Furzefield Centre from the station.

The incident happened at around 12.15pm and the girls ran away from the man.

The offender has been described as an Asian man, aged 25 to 37, around 5ft 4ins to 5ft 7ins tall, with short dark hair, unshaven with a large nose and chubby build.

In the first incident he wore a yellow t-shirt, grey tracksuit bottoms and grey sandals.

In the second incident he was wearing a black t-shirt, light grey jogging bottoms and beige flip flops.

Detective Constable Laura Chillingworth, investigating from Hertsmere Local Crime Unit, said: “This was a horrible ordeal for the teenage girls involved and I would like to trace the offender. I would like to reassure people that we are doing all we can to trace the man responsible.

“If you were in the area at the time of the incidents and saw a man matching the description or can even identify the man, I would like to hear from you.

“Alternatively, you may also have been a victim and not called police yet. If so, please call me as you could have information vital to the investigation.”

Those with information are asked to call DC Chillingworth via non-emergency number 101. Alternatively, call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
