Around 21 senior nursing staff at Barnet and Chase Farm hospitals may lose their jobs by December as hospital bosses have des-cribed the posts as non business critical'.
Bosses say staff will not be made redundant, but would be redeployed throughout the two hospitals, in Wellhouse Lane, Barnet, and The Ridgeway, Enfield. Bella Dale, the only midwife whose job is to offer breastfeeding advice and antenatal care, may be moved after 20 years at the hospitals. A hospital spokesman said: "This is about ensuring that we deliver the best service."
