A woman from Golders Green is limbering up to take on the London Marathon to raise cash for a humanitarian aid charity.
Emma Segal, 31, has already raised £819 but is determined to reach her £2,500 target for World Jewish Relief.
Ms Segal, who is also the charity’s head of community partnerships, has been training four times a week in preparation for the big race.
She said: “I am thrilled to be taking on this challenge for World Jewish Relief, a charity that is so close to my heart.
“It is amazing to be in a position where I can see firsthand the impact that the money I am raising will have on those in desperate need.”
Last year, WJR runners raised a total of £22,561 to help fund WJR’s programmes supporting vulnerable and poverty stricken people in twenty countries around the world.
