A group of motor vehicle students have qualified for the regional finals of a national karting competition.
Barnet and Southgate College’s Motorsports Team took third place at the local finals, securing their spot in The National British Schools' Karting Championship 2012.
Sagar Bhagat, Usama Patel and Nabil Sebti will take to the track on Saturday, March 3 at Buckmore Park Karting circuit in Kent.
Principal, Marilyn Hawkins said: “The students making up the College Motorsports’ team displayed commitment, determination and composure in their recent competition, which has become increasingly challenging each year. We would like to congratulate them on their success and wish them luck for the regional finals next month.”
Sagar, Usama and Nabil study a motor vehicle course at the college, which involves subjects such as motor mechanics, vehicle body repair and paint refinishing.
