Barnet FC has begun building work on a £4million renovation of its training ground in Edgware.
Investment at The Hive training centre, in Camrose Avenue, includes a gym, exercise studio, new changing facilities and conference rooms.
Last month, the club announced it would play one more year at its Underhill Stadium in Barnet but owners say they have not made a decision on where the team will play beyond the 2012/2013 season.
As well as sports facilities being built at the training ground, new offices will be erected for the club’s employees, all of whom will be moved from Underhill during the summer.
John Blasebalk, site manager of The Hive, said: “We are all very excited about the new developments that are taking place here. This will not only benefit the players and staff of Barnet Football Club, but also the community around us and all those who plan to use our facilities in the future.”
