Barnet Football Club is holding a tournament for children from the borough’s estates on Sunday.

Barnet Unites Football Tournament will take place at the Underhill Stadium in Barnet Lane from 11am.

The event, which is being organised by Barnet FC Community Trust, will involve 150 players aged between 12 and 18, who will make up 20 teams.

The competition will bring together people from Trust projects across the borough with the aim of creating a safer and stronger community.

The Community Trust runs a number of projects with young people in the borough.

These include holding football matches and training sessions in housing estates, which are followed by talks on the dangers of knife crime, drugs and alcohol.
