People living in sheltered housing in Potters Bar will be treated to a trip to the theatre thanks to a grant awarded by a Hertfordshire County councillor.
Cllr Eddie Roach gave £200 from his locality budget so that ten 80 to 96-year-olds from Donaldson Lodge, in Manor Road can visit St Alban’s Organ Theatre.
Cllr Roach said: “The residents have not had an outing for a long time and I am delighted to help out by providing transport and entry fees.
“Many of them don’t get out very much and this visit will benefit them greatly.”
A total of £10,000 is available to each of the 77 members of Hertfordshire County Council to spend on community projects in their area.
