Retail staff helped spruce up a garden at North London Hospice in Finchley.
A group of 36 volunteers from John Lewis Brent Cross pitched in as they cleaned-up and replanted the garden in Woodside Avenue on Wednesday, May 23.
The hospice provides specialist end of life care for people with life limiting illness.
Douglas Bennett CEO of North London Hospice said: “Our garden is a very special part of the hospice and really important to our patients and their families.
“Our volunteers work so hard to keep the garden looking at its best but as a charity reliant on donations to fund 3/4 of our care we don’t always have the money to spend on the garden that we would like.”
The team also refurbished a patio and all plants, pots and compost were donated by Sunshine Garden Centre in Finchley, Finchley Nurseries and the Garden Centre in Potters Bar.
Amanda Timothy, community liaison coordinator at John Lewis, said: “The work North London Hospice does is vital to the local community, so when they asked us for help we were delighted to assist.”
