A 16-year-old boy from Mill Hill appeared at Brent Magistrates’ Court on Saturday accused of the murder of Luke Fitzpatrick and the attempted murder of a 56-year-old man.

Police and paramedics were called to Coles Green Road at 11.30pm last Saturday following reports of a stabbing.

Mr Fitzpatrick, 25, who is reported to have been a roofer, died of stab wounds at the scene.

A 56-year-old, who is thought to be Luke’s father, named locally as Bernard Fitzpatrick, was also injured as he tried to protect his son.

He is in a serious but stable condition in hospital reportedly suffering a punctured liver.

Both victims had been at the Ox and Gate pub in Coles Green Road where people had gathered to watch the Champions League final.

It is believed that a fight broke out which then spilled outside the pub before the victims were stabbed in Crest Road.

Five other people have also been arrested in connection with the incident but they have all been bailed.
