This morning another seven men were arrested in connection with the murder of Luke Fitzpatrick on May 19.

A 25-year-old, a 19-year-old, a 20-year-old, two 15-year-olds and two 18-year-olds are all in custody at a north London police station.

A 16-year-old boy from Mill Hill appeared at Brent Magistrates Court on Saturday accused of the murder of Luke Fitzpatrick, the attempted murder of a 56-year-old man and violent disorder.

He was remanded in custody and appeared at Brent Youth Court today when he was further remanded in custody to re-appear at the youth court on Monday, June 25.

Five other men, two aged 17, a 16-year-old, a 23-year-old and a 31-year-old were also arrested during the inquiry and have been bailed to return in June pending further inquiries.

Police and paramedics were called to Coles Green Road at 11.30pm following reports of a stabbing.

Mr Fitzpatrick, 25, who is reported to have been a roofer, died of stab wounds at the scene.

A 56-year-old, who is thought to be Luke’s father, named locally as Bernard Fitzpatrick, was also injured as he tried to protect his son.

Both victims had been at the Ox and Gate pub, in Coles Green Road, where people had gathered to watch the Champions League final.

It is believed that a fight broke out which then spilled outside the pub before the victims were stabbed in Crest Road.
