The Hendon Methodist Church will be celebrating its 75th anniversary next weekend.
The Church, located in The Burroughs, opened in 1937, and will be holding its celebrations on Sunday, July 8.
The theme of this year's celebrations will be The History of Methodism in England.
The church's Reverend Shaun Sanders said: “I urge people not to be put off by the word history as I can assure them it will not be boring or stuffy.”
Celebrations will start at 10.30am, with a service led by the Reverend Margaret Jones.
Some fun and interesting facts will be shared about the formation of Methodism in England in the mid-nineteenth century, and its establishment in Hendon in 1981.
An international themed lunch will be served afterwards.
