Golfers clubbed together in Barnet on Wednesday to raise money for a Jewish charity.

Despite torrential rain, around 80 people took part in the games at Dyrham Park Country Club, to support learning disability charity Norwood.

Over 20 companies, from Frogmore to Galliard Homes took part, and the event was sponsored by C J O’Shea Group Ltd and associate sponsor Howard Kennedy.

Players were treated to a Pimm’s and buffet lunch, before the awards were presented to the winning team, the UK Screeders.

Following the event, David Galman, co-chair of the Norwood Golf Committee thanked the sponsors for making the day a success.

He added: “The money raised will help Norwood continue its working helping thousands of people in need, to improve the quality of their lives, and achieve their goals each and every year.”
