Harry Potter star to carry Olympic torch in Barnet

Harry Potter actor Rupert Grint will carry the Olympic torch as it makes its way through Barnet next week.

Rupert, who played Ron Weasley in the blockbuster films, will carry the torch from Middlesex University in The Burroughs, Hendon, on Wednesday, July 25.

Community and student music groups will perform from midday to 2pm while the torch stops off at the university at 12.47pm.

The torch will then continue its journey through the borough at 1.47pm.
