Barnet Hospital to create 200 new parking spaces

Barnet Hospital is intending to create 200 new car parking spaces on fallow land in front of the Wellhouse Lane hospital.

The hospital trust has submitted its new parking proposal to Barnet Council and is expecting a decision at a planning meeting on September 5.

In a statement the trust said: “We are confident that this will be more than adequate, together with the existing parking spaces, to cope with an increase in patients, visitors and staff.”

Yippee! Not wishing "to rain on the BCF Hospital NHS Trust parade" but the drawings have yet to be validated and available for public inspection.

The new plans and Development Control Plan will need to identify whether any of this NEW parking will be provided BEFORE the remainder of the proposed development is undertaken, or whether the development contractor will still occupy the WHOLE of the fallow land?
