Organisers of fun day in Barnet hope to bring community together

Organisers of a free community fun day on Sunday are hoping the event will “bring all ages together”.

Games, activities, face painting and skating are among the activities at the event, on the green in Chesterfield Road, Barnet, from 3pm.

The activity day has been organised by a number of local charities and organisations, including Aidexcel, which provides teaching for people with various disabilities.

Charity development director Faith Unoarumhi said: “We’re really looking forward to it. We felt that in this community we needed something for everyone young and old to come together and enjoy. We’re taking the Olympics spirit and hoping to instil that sense of community.”
