Man punched outside the Bridge Tavern, in Mill Hill
2:29pm Monday 20th August 2012 in News By Chris Hewett
A man was taken to hospital with serious head injuries after he was punched outside a Mill Hill pub on Saturday night.
The victim, believed to be in his 50s, was knocked unconscious by the blow and suffered a suspected fractured skull when he subsequently hit his head on the floor.
Emergency services were called to The Broadway, outside the Bridge Tavern pub, at 6.30pm.
The London Ambulance Service sent out a fast response car, one ambulance and a duty officer, usually only sent to the most serious incidents.
Police sealed off the scene while paramedics treated the man, who regained consciousness before being taken to a London hospital as a priority.
Officers are now investigating the incident.
