Early results show Barnet A-level students higher than average
4:36pm Monday 20th August 2012 in News By Chris Hewett
At least two thirds of Barnet’s secondary schools achieved higher A-level results than the national average.
Barnet Council is waiting on results from five of the borough’s 18 senior schools but statistics from the first 13 show 99 per cent of students passed the exams.
A total of 16 per cent of students achieved an A*, compared with 8 per cent nationally, while a further 28 per cent achieved A grades, compared with 19 per cent nationally.
Final totals are expected later this week when the last schools submit their results that were first released on Thursday.
