Police name minicab driver killed in M25 crash

Police have named a minicab driver killed in a crash on the M25 on August 25.

Murat Sarikoca, 33, of Romford, died at the scene of the crash which took place near Junction 24.

The emergency services were called at 7.25am following reports of an overturned vehicle.

Police, the fire brigade, paramedics and the air ambulance all attended but Mr Sarikoca was pronounced dead at 8.30am.

A post-mortem examination took place at Haringey Mortuary on August 29 and gave the cause of death as multiple internal injuries.

His next of kin have been informed and an inquest has been opened and adjourned at Barnet Coroner’s Court.

A 51-year-old male passenger in Mr Sarikoca’s minicab was taken to an east London hospital.

His injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

No other people or vehicles were involved.
