Man charged following stabbing
A 65-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder following a stabbing in East Barnet on Sunday evening.
James Cooley, of Lancaster Road, East Barnet, is due to appear at Hendon Magistrates’ Court today charged with the attempted murder of a 48-year-old woman.
Police were called to a block of flats in Lancaster Road at 7.15pm on Sunday.
They found a 48-year-old woman suffering multiple stab wounds to the chest.
She was taken to a west London hospital where she remains in a critical condition.
A 65-year-old man was arrested at the scene and taken to a north London police station.
