Emergency services have swarmed Edgware station to deal with a person under a train.

The Northern Line has been suspended between Edgware and Colindale and both tube stations are closed to the public.

Police have taped off the entrance to Edgware station and are redirecting hundreds of commuters attempting to get home.

Traffic is queuing along Station Road in both directions.

Police cars, fire engines and ambulances are being supported by two police incident trucks.

Transport for London confirmed officers were investigating an incident involving a person under a train but could not say when the stations might reopen.
