A murder investigation has been launched following the death of a man in Friern Barnet last night.
Police were called to an address in Larch Close at 11.20pm following reports of an assault.
The victim, believed to be in his 30s, was taken by ambulance to the Whittington Hospital where he died at 3.50am.
Police believe they know the identity of the dead man but he has not yet been formally identified and his next of kin have not been informed.
A post mortem examination will be organised to establish the cause of death.
Barnet Police and officers from the Homicide and Serious Crime Command are investigating.
