Woman remains in a critical condition following stabbing
A 48-year-old woman remains in a critical condition in hospital following a stabbing in East Barnet on Sunday evening.
The woman was stabbed repeatedly in the torso at a block of flats in Lancaster Road.
She was taken to a central London hospital where her condition is still described as critical but stable.
James Cooley, 65, of Lancaster Road appeared at Hendon Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday charged with the attempted murder of a 48-year-old woman.
Mr Cooley was remanded in custody and is due to appear at the Old Bailey on October 23.
