Terrified onlookers called police yesterday after spotting a group of men with a firearm in Whetstone.
The Metropolitan Police sent a specialist firearms squad and a helicopter to investigate and found three men carrying an air rifle.
The men were arrested in Brook Farm Open Space at 12.50pm for possession of an air rifle in a public place.
The 22-year-old from Enfield, 19-year-old from East Finchley and 17-year-old from Totteridge have all been bailed.
They are due to return to a north London police station on November 6.
