Motorcyclist killed in crash at Staples Corner

A motorcyclist was killed when his bike veered off the road and hit a sign post at Staples Corner in the early hours of Saturday morning.

The 20-year-old was fatally injured when his Suzuki collided with the road sign at 12.35am.

Emergency services were called to the eastbound entry slip road of the North Circular Road but the man was pronounced dead at the scene at 1.45am.

His next of kin have been informed but police are still awaiting formal identification.

Police are appealing for witnesses to call them on 0208 8421817.

Road sign could not possibly collide with motorcyclist - physically impossible.
