Arsenal defender Andrew Santos charged with dangerous driving in Mill Hill

Arsenal defender Andre Santos has been charged with dangerous driving after allegedly caught speeding in a £100,000 sports car in Mill Hill.

The 29-year-old of Church Mount, Barnet, was charged yesterday after being arrested on Friday, August 17 for driving erratically in a Maserati.

Brazilian-born Santos is accused of speeding away from chasing police at speeds of up to 130mph.

He answered police bail on Wednesday, September 12 and was charged with dangerous driving and driving without due care and attention.

He will appear at Hendon Magistrates’ Court on September 27 and faces a maximum penalty of two years in prison if convicted.
