Walkers to trek 60 miles in 24 hours to raise cash for community centre

Walkers will trek 60 miles in 24 hours to raise cash to open a community centre for older people.
Approximately 50 people have signed up for the walk around 23 schools in Barnet today.
All sponsorship money will go to Christ Church Barnet’s Open Door Appeal to restore the building adjacent to the church and make it a new hub for older people.
The walk will start at 6pm at the church in St Alban’s Road. Prayers will be said for children and teachers as they pass the schools on route.
