Ten-year-old makes final of national modeling competition
A ten-year-old schoolgirl has been selected as a finalist in a nationwide modeling competition.
Beatrice Cojocaru, of Station Road, is a finalist in Miss Upcoming Model Girl UK 2012.
The Stanburn Junior School, Harrow, pupil was put forward for the competition by her mother, Ionela Cojocaru, 32.
Beatrice will take part in the competition final on Sunday, in Cheshire.
During this event she will be required to walk down a catwalk dressed in jeans and a t-shirt and then in a dress.
Beatrice’s mother, Mrs Cojocaru, said: “Beatrice likes modeling very much. She wanted to go in for a competition like this.
“She will be very excited if she wins. She is quite confident and she enjoys it.”
As a finalist she has been awarded £140 worth of make-up, jewellery, sunglasses and hair accessories.
If the Year 6 pupil is chosen as the overall winner she will be awarded £1,000 worth of prizes as well as the title of Miss Upcoming Model Girl UK 2012.
The winner will also appear on online TV channel www.modelsearchuk.tv
The Miss Upcoming Model Girl UK competition is being organised by Model Search UK and is raising money for the charity Breakthrough Breast Cancer.
