Barnet Council gives Edgwarebury Park in Edgware a £60,000 makeover

An Edgware park is receiving a £60,000 makeover after it suffered extensive damage at the hands of vandals.

Work has started this week on installing an obstacle course, swings, a see-saw and climbing nets in Edgwarebury Park.

Local children and parents were consulted about what they wanted to see in the new playground prior to the work being started.

The project is expected to take three weeks to complete.

This is the second park to undergo a major upgrade this summer following the £85,000 makeover of Princes Park, in Golders Green, last month.
