A Whetstone church is celebrating its 180th anniversary with a weekend-long flower festival.
St John the Apostle church in High Road opened its flower show this morning and will run it until Sunday.
More than 30 flower arrangements have been spread around the church representing everything from the church’s anniversary to the Olympics.
The arrangements have been put together by a huge range of people and organisations, including children at St Johns Primary School in Swan Lane.
St John’s Vicar, Reverend Cindy Kent, said: “It looks absolutely stunning. It is a riot of colour and it smells wonderful.
“It really is beautiful.”
The free festival will be open from 10am until 5pm today and tomorrow and from 2pm until 5pm on Sunday.
Any money that is raised through donations will go towards the running of the church.
