A Paralympics Games Maker visited a school in Potters Bar during the morning assembly on Friday.

Emma Morgan visited Pope Paul Catholic Primary School in Baker Street to encourage children of all abilities to take part in Paralympic sport.

Headteacher, Helen Lines, said that all the children are really enthusiastic about sport and about the Paralympics in particular.

She added: “The children really enjoyed Emma’s visit. Before the games they could only name Ellie Simmonds but now they can name many more paralympians.”

As part of the visit the school received posters, banners and hanging mobiles from Potters Bar Sainsbury’s which was a main Paralympic sponsor.
