Kingston Warriors 10

South London Storm 44

South London Storm turned on the style at Kingston Warriors on Saturday to record an emphatic 44-10 win, their biggest ever in the Rugby League Conference, to ensure Kingston and not Storm, will finish bottom of the South Division this season.

Storm were in command right from the start and took only five minutes to go in front, Terry Reader combining well with Keri Ryan to cross under the sticks for a try he converted himself.

Kingston levelled the score but this only served to inspire the Storm. Julian Critchley dived over to re-establish the visitors lead.Reader converted.

On the stroke on half time Nwabueze intercepted a Warriors' pass and sprinted the length of the pitch to score a fine individual effort

Reader converted to send Storm in 24-6 up at the break. Within minutes of the restart the South Londoners increased their lead to leave no way back for Kingston.

Canadian winger Alex Peters planted the ball over the line. Terry Reader missed the conversion.

With the win secured Storm started to throw the ball about, and the adventurous approach was rewarded twice in the final ten minutes.

Their final RLC game is on August 4 at home to West London Sharks. Storms' Reserves lost a close match against Kingston going down 32-44.
