Viridian halls of residence given plaque for hosting police officers during Olympics

Staff at halls of residence in Colindale have been awarded a plaque in recognition of the work they did during the Olympic and Paralympic games.

Writtle House and Platt Halls, in Chancellor Place, were given the commemorative plaque because they played host to the Ministry of Defence Specialist Crime and Operations Specialist Firearms Command (SCO19) during the games.

The staff at the Viridian halls of residence, which are used by Middlesex University, were presented with the plaque by members of the SCO19.

Mike Elsden, senior property manager at Viridian, said: “The team and I are over the moon and feel so honored to have received this plaque, which highlights our achievements during the 2012 Games.

“It was an absolute pleasure to be of assistance to the Ministry of Defence during the 2012 Olympics and Paralympics at a time when London was center stage and the focus of attention across the globe.”
