Special barcodes that link to images of buildings in Hendon and East Finchley as they looked up to 100 years ago will begin appearing on the streets from next month.
When scanned with an application on smart phones, the QR codes will reveal pictures of certain areas from Barnet Council’s archives.
The scheme is being run by the authority’s libraries service and codes will appear on lampposts in 15 Hendon locations and 13 in East Finchley.
The Past Present installation is part of Barnet Libraries’ celebration of the Family Learning Festival, which runs from October 13 until November 11.
