Mental health awareness day supported by Barnet mayor Brian Schama
A day of activities dedicated to raising awareness of mental health issues will be supported by the Mayor of Barnet next week.
Mayor Brian Schama will attend the ‘No health without mental health’ day on Thursday, October 11.
Among advice and information about depression and other issues at the event, in Burnt Oak, visitors can take part in art therapy, African drumming and drama performances.
The afternoon’s activities are being organised as part of the annual World Mental Health Day, which falls on Wednesday, October 10.
The event is jointly organised by voluntary organisations, Barnet, Enfield and Haringey mental health trust and Barnet Council.
Entry is free and anyone can go along to the St Alphage Church Hall, at the junction of Playfield Road and Montrose Avenue, between 2.30pm and 5.30pm.
