Man charged in connection with armed raid in Finchley Central

A man has been charged in connection with an attempted armed raid at a house in Finchley Central.

Darren Farrell, 31, of Cromleigh Way, East Sussex, has been charged with attempted robbery and possession of a prohibited weapon following the incident on Monday, October 1.

The owner of the house, off East End Road near the junction with the North Circular Road, is believed to have advertised a number of smart phones on trading website Gum Tree.

While searching the scene, officers recovered what they believe to be a stun gun.

A second man fled from the scene but left behind one of his shoes. He is described as African Caribbean, six feet tall and is between 20 and 25-years-old.

Police are appealing for witnesses to call on the non-emergency number 101.
