Barnet Council CEO taking pay cut in Haringey move

Barnet CEO Nick Walkley has taken an £11,000 pay cut to move to neighbouring authority Haringey.

His new employers confirmed the chief executive, who enjoys a £200,000-a-year salary at Barnet, would be paid £189,000 in his new role.

Critics of the One Barnet programme, which Mr Walkley has worked on with the current administration, have accused him of ‘jumping ship’.

Shouldn't someone warn the people of Haringey about the arrogant, incompetent, council-tax-wasting free-loader that they're getting?
